Bella Gaffney @ Rise

I photographed Bella Gaffney’s sold-out show at Rise, a standout evening of folk music in a truly atmospheric setting. Bella – an acclaimed solo artist and one third of the transatlantic folk trio The Magpies – delivered a performance rich in lyrical depth and musical finesse, moving seamlessly between guitar and banjo.

The venue’s glass-sided architecture let in the soft glow of early summer light, which blended beautifully with candlelight and subtle stage illumination. It created a warm, intimate setting that complemented the music perfectly and allowed for a visually rich photographic experience.

Support came from Jake Robinson, whose set set the tone for an evening of thoughtful, heartfelt music.
